INDY

Indy....yeah, not really known for anything but war memorials...We got back on Sun. evening, and I had alot of fun- nice to see friends again. On Fri we got there at about noon, and we ended up going to a garage sale, where I was looking thru a box of t-shirts, and a woman came up to me, and the conversation went like this:

Woman: "Are you college kids?"

Me: "Not really."

Woman: "You're from Bay City."

Me: "Yeah."

Woman: "You have 2 kids."

Me: "Yeah."

Woman: "Your dad used to play with my husband in a band."

Anyway she went on to tell me who my mom was, where she worked, and it ended up that she knew all about me, and actually knows my mom quite well. I was shocked. So then she said her name, and I remembered her, also. Funny that I could go five hours from home and find someone who knows all about me.....kinda weird.

So on Sat we went to Indy, and went to the art museum which I loved! The Lily house and grounds were gorgeous too!

I sure was glad to be home again with my family though!

Okay, so this race did NOT go well! It was really windy and cold on Thurs. This was the first race I actually had to walk. Yuck!
On the flip side; I canoed 36 miles this weekend and had a BLAST!!!! It was SO much fun!
Next weekend I'm going on a road trip with a friend of mine, and I'm REALLY excited and can't WAIT!!! Fun fun!
Oh yeah, and I"m doing VBS at church this week....never have done VBS before; should be great!
That's all for now!!

1 more week

So I only have 1 more week til my next 5K run! YAY!! One of my brave friends just started running and now she's going to run it with me, and then we will run an 8K next! Fun! The only weird thing is that this next race is in the evening, and I've only run in the morning. oh well......I can't wait.

On Sat, I ran a 5k run with my sister-in-law; the first race since I had my lil' girl. It was fun, and a great morning to run. I can't wait til my next race! I didn't run super fast or anything, but I finished without stopping! Yay for me!

That's all for now!

Random Everything

I have such great kids- a 2 yr old, and a 4 month old, and me and Andrew can still do lots of things with them. For example, the last few weekends, we have been staying up late, and over at other people's houses playing games. This past Saturday we were at a friend's house til 2 a.m. They just kept sleeping in the spare room! It was so much fun.

My oldest  just had his second birthday, and he had a blast! A little too much sugar, but hey, it's a birthday, right? (He normally doesn't get any sugar during the day- except for the sugar in fruit.) We had a great tim and the balloons were his favorite part, I think. He suceeded in blowing out both candles. One at a time of course.

So I've been reading this book about Christians being set apart from the world  in food. He's talking about our bodies being the temple of the Holy Spirit, and how if we ate in a way that glorified God, we would be much more healthy than the general public, and we would be more fit to serve in the Kingdom. It's been an excellent read. Next I'm going to start reading a book that a friend loaned to me about churches.

In 2 days a  long-time friend is coming over to play games with me and my husband. Should be lots of fun.

I think spring is finally here- yesterday it was 70, and my kids and I had alot of fun just being outside. *Yay!*
